Our Year 7 students embarked on an exciting adventure at YMCA Joyner, where they participated in a range of engaging activities designed to challenge and inspire. From damper making to canoeing, raft building, indoor rock climbing, fire making, shelter building, and even creating their own catapults, the camp was filled with opportunities for hands-on learning and fun.

One of the standout moments was the tribal face-off on Thursday night, where students embraced their team spirit with war cries and vibrant tribal flags, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie and friendly competition. The event was a perfect example of how the camp encouraged teamwork and leadership, helping students forge new connections and work collaboratively towards a common goal.

The Survivor-esque program provided the perfect platform for students to showcase their leadership skills, push their boundaries, and support each other in a range of challenges.

A special thank you goes to Liam Pilkington for stepping up as camp leader, Brad Kelman for his invaluable behind-the-scenes contributions, and our new Deputy, Brock Germain, who embraced his role just days into his journey at Corinda. We also extend our gratitude to the 18 dedicated staff members who supported over 240 students throughout this memorable getaway.

Mr. Bailey and Mr. Payne made special appearances during the camp, cheering on the students and adding to the overall excitement and experience.

Thank you to everyone who made this adventure possible, and congratulations to our Year 7 students for their outstanding participation and teamwork throughout the camp!
