We once again celebrated outstanding Senior student outcomes on our return to school – the best we have experienced since the introduction of the new ATAR system.
In total our school had 280 Year 12 graduates in 2023. Of this total, 277 students were awarded the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and three students were awarded a Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement – once again 100% achievement –something we take great pride in each year. We have consistently achieved this for the past 14 years. One hundred percent of our QCE students achieved a VET qualification at a minimum Certificate II level.
There were six students who achieved the equivalent of an OP1, and approximately 44 students achieved an equivalent OP 1 – 5, which is commendable. A remarkable story in all this is the three students who received 100% in their QCAA subjects. The QCAA recognises Year 12 students who receive six A’s across their subjects and are awarded QCAA Commendations. We are very proud of the eight students awarded Commendations. Our students are to be congratulated for their outstanding achievements.
In addition to these impressive ATAR scores, we are also very proud of the 47 students who achieved Diploma qualifications, 10 Certificate IV and 143 who achieved a Certificate III level qualification. We are very proud of these achievements and all ATAR eligible students have successfully received offers for tertiary studies. We are equally proud of the three students who have been accepted into Medicine following their successful ATAR results.
Corinda is recognised as one of the schools that produces the most significant number of VET qualifications – something we feel very passionate about ensuring our students are credentialed and able to pursue multiple pathways.
