Year 11 students started the year with a bang when they attended a three-day Leadership Retreat. The program combined innovative and targeted learning with activities and challenges designed to develop the foundational leadership skills of our students.
Staged at Riverlife, day one and two saw students participate in a range of workshops focused on mental health and leadership (pictured right). Day three saw students return to campus for life skills masterclasses. Meditation and mindfulness, physical fitness, managing money, preparing a nutritious meal, social etiquette and car maintenance were just some of the program highlights. Thank you to our Senior Schooling faculty for hosting such a milestone event for our students as they lay the foundations for their final years at school and beyond.
A special thank you to Jess Pugh MP, batyr, Peer Power Australia, June Dally-Watkins, Project GEN Z and Corinda State High School sponsor, Motorama, who hosted their first ever school-based car maintenance masterclass at the event. The students loved the popcorn made by the electric vehicle!
