Corinda SHS welcomed our final Study Tour group for 2025 – a delegation of students from Urawa in the Saitama Prefecture of Japan.
Queensland has enjoyed a sister-state relationship with Saitama for more than 40 years, fostering countless educational exchanges, study tours, and friendships between our regions. Corinda SHS was proud to continue this rich tradition.
Over two days, 70 visiting students were paired with more than 40 Corinda buddies to share learning and culture. They participated in a specialised Maths and Science lesson before heading to the Smart Farm to meet our friendly chickens and feed the new lambs.
The visit offered a wonderful opportunity for our students to practise their Japanese, connect with peers from across the globe, and create lasting memories.
A big thank you went to our International team – Mrs Thompson, Mr Breen, and Mrs Pearson – who coordinate up to eight study tours each year, creating experiences that truly connect classrooms and cultures.
