Five Corinda State High School students have successfully secured school-based traineeships with The Lion Richlands, following a highly competitive recruitment process.

With 50 students from across the region applying for just 10 positions, Corinda students claimed half of the opportunities available. Congratulations to Madison P, Jesse N, Summeria V, Truc V and Xavier B on this outstanding achievement.

The traineeships provide students with the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience while completing a Certificate III in Business. Over the course of the program, students will undertake 750 hours of paid workplace learning across a range of departments at The Lion Richlands, developing practical skills and industry knowledge alongside their school studies.

A unique feature of the program is the pathway it creates beyond graduation. Upon successful completion of the traineeship, students will be offered a permanent place on The Lion staff list, providing a strong foundation for future employment and career development.

This achievement highlights the strength of Corinda State High School's partnerships with industry and the ongoing commitment of the school's Vocational Education team to creating meaningful pathways from school to employment.

Special recognition goes to Head of Vocational Education, Adam Dawson, whose leadership and dedication continue to create valuable opportunities for students to gain real-world experience and build successful futures.
