Our Year 10 and 11 Japanese students recently returned from an unforgettable journey to Japan, packed with cultural immersion and lasting memories. Highlights included exploring Sensoji Temple, Harajuku, and Shibuya Crossing, experiencing Taiko drumming, and admiring Mount Fuji from a cable car. Students also enjoyed Disney Sea, Tsukiji Fish Market, and visiting Josai School, our international exchange partner.
Reflections from some Year 11 students:
• Cailin N: "I loved going to all of the shrines and green spaces. The mountains are beautiful."
• Jimmy T: "Seeing all the Japanese stores has been great. The homestay I went to was with the Aquarian family, and the host mum was energetic and keen to show me around."
• Ollie K: "I loved hanging out with my host family and going to the Edo-Tokyo Museum. The food has been amazing."
Special thanks to Ms Thompson, Mr Kidd, and Ms Craigie for their care and dedication during the trip, ensuring it was a safe and enriching experience for all!
