A huge congratulations to our Grade 9 and under boys and girls who recently competed in the Tennis Australia State Championships in Rockhampton! Both teams earned their place by winning the Met West region, showcasing their dedication and talent.

An amazing achievement for our Grade 9 girls, who won the state title for the second consecutive year! The four girls demonstrated exceptional teamwork, positive attitudes, and a winning mentality, defeating five of the top schools in the state to secure the coveted title.

Also, a huge shout-out to our Grade 9 and under boys, who finished in 4th place in their age group at the state championships — an outstanding result for the team!

The trip to Rockhampton was not only about the competition but also a fantastic team-building experience. The success has everyone buzzing with excitement for next year's event.

In other tennis news, congratulations to our Open Boys and Year 10 & Under Girls for their impressive victories at the Metropolitan Tennis Finals! Both teams triumphed over Kelvin Grove College in their respective age groups. We'd also like to acknowledge our Open Girls and Year 10 & Under Boys, who gave it their all and finished second in their categories — a fantastic achievement!

This prestigious competition, which brings together the best state schools, has a long history dating back to the 1950s. This year's event was hosted at Griffith University, where the atmosphere was electric, and every player contributed to making the day unforgettable.

A special shout-out to Mr. Linyard, our Head of Tennis Excellence, whose passion and dedication to the sport inspire our students and lead to outstanding results in competitions such as the Metro Finals. His commitment plays a pivotal role in the success of our tennis programs.
