Our Dance Troupe and Cavaliers Marching Band took to the stage at the Ekka, dazzling packed crowds with their incredible performances. Our talented young artists set the bar high, with event organisers, stallholders, and the public raving that they were the best acts of the show! Their dedication and skill truly impressed everyone in attendance.
Meanwhile, in the Animal Pavilion, our Ag students continued their winning streak by claiming first place in the Tidy Pens competition for the third year in a row! This achievement speaks volumes about the pride and care they take in looking after the animals. A special congratulations also goes to our Ag Assistant, Mr. Abell, who took first place in the amateur floral beard contest — a fun and unique competition that showcased his creative flair.
We're incredibly proud of all our students who represented Corinda SHS at this year's show. Their talent, dedication, and charm truly shined, leaving a lasting impression on the community. One standout moment was shared by Michelle Price, a member of the public, who sent us a touching note about her interaction with Year 9 student Otto H. She said:
"He spoke to us for quite a while about the goats, and we asked him many questions about the school's Ag program and why it was something he wanted to study. He was great with my nephews, helping them feed the animals. He was polite, very well spoken and informative, and I feel that he was a wonderful representative and role model for your school."
A big thank you to all the students, staff, and families involved — your hard work and dedication made Corinda SHS shine brightly at the Ekka!
