Principal's Welcome

Corinda State High School is one of Brisbane’s leading co-educational public schools. 

We are conveniently located in a beautiful, leafy setting in the western suburbs of Brisbane, just 20 minutes by train from the city centre. 

At Corinda State High School students are encouraged to achieve personal excellence in their academic endeavours, behaviour and appearance. Our school community values these important standards. We have a very strong science and maths focus, as well as an excellent reputation in the arts and sports. The school also offers a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities including instrumental music, debating and farm teams. In fact, our spacious land and our Agricultural Farm which backs onto the Oxley River and Rocklea Common land, is a unique feature of our school.

Our Vision

We are very fortunate at Corinda State High School to have a committed and hard working professional teaching staff and ancillary team. These people work long hours particularly with extra curricular activities to ensure we maximise opportunities for our students. This is evident through our Arts Excellence programs, Agricultural program, sporting achievements, and regional, state and national competitions. 

Our school vision is to 'Exceed Your Expectations' and our school has a long standing reputation as one with high expectations and a focus on academic excellence. 

I am extremely proud to be part of this great school where we honour tradition but embrace change. When you look at all the achievements of our students in the course of a school year – this can only be attributed to the work of truly committed professionals. This school is always alive – you just have to walk around the school after hours to see the extensive work that is undertaken coaching, training, supporting and pushing our students.
