It was our great pleasure to welcome our Year 7 2024 cohort on Thursday 30 November for their high school orientation. There was an excited hum of conversation in the Assembly Hall as students met their core class for the first time, followed by plenty of laughter as teachers helped break the ice with a series of fun rotational activities.
All students had a tour of our vast campus, followed by a barbecue lunch served at the Smart Farm, allowing students to mingle. They came home in the afternoon with a Corinda-branded drawstring bag filled with goodies to help them prepare for the transition.
Every student we spoke to gave an enthusiastic thumbs up response to the day's activities, and we have no doubt they excitedly relayed many stories to their families. We hope all students enjoyed their primary school graduation - we can't wait to see them in January!
A shout out must go to our student volunteers who assisted in chaperoning the class groups - particularly our Senior students, who came back from school holidays to help.
