Assessment in Junior Secondary

At Corinda, we are committed to helping students succeed in their assessments by providing high-quality teaching and personalised support. Our dedicated teachers use a range of strategies to ensure students are well-prepared and confident in their learning.

Regular feedback is an important part of this process. Teachers not only assess student's work but also provide guidance to help them understand their progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. This approach fosters a culture of continuous growth and self-awareness.

To help students stay organised, they (and their parents) have access to their timetable, assessment schedule, and semester overview through Daymap. This online tool allows students to track assignment due dates, exams, and other commitments, ensuring they can plan their time effectively.

Students can log in to Daymap from any computer at home or school using their school Username and Password. We encourage parents to familiarise themselves with Daymap and regularly check their child’s planner and timetable. This helps parents stay informed about upcoming assessments and deadlines, strengthening the partnership between home and school.

Feedback and Assessment in Senior Secondary

At Corinda, we ensure students are well-prepared for all assessments in line with QCAA conditions. Our teachers provide regular feedback to help students understand their results and identify ways to improve.

To support organisation and time management, students can access their student assessment schedule and timetable via Daymap. This allows them to plan ahead and balance their school commitments effectively.

Parents can also stay informed through the Daymap Parent Portal, where they can view upcoming assessment due dates and excursions that may impact their child’s studies. Additionally, parents can monitor the submission of assessment tasks, helping to support their child’s academic progress.

We value the partnership between school and home and encourage parents to engage with Daymap to stay connected with their child’s learning journey.
