Congratulations to our Year 12 Class of 2023! Your Jungle Odyssey is now complete, and you can confidently enter the next phase of your lives knowing you have developed all the skills you need to succeed - whatever path you choose.
Our sincere gratitude goes out to each of our special guests, school sponsors, the Yerongpan Dancers for their warm Welcome to Country, and our Performing Arts talent, including the Corinda Cavaliers, Dance Troupe, instrumental music students, and choir. Thank you also to all the graduating families who not only shared in this momentous occasion with us, but have provided a guiding light through the jungle for our students as they navigated their schooling years.
Executive Principal Helen Jamieson had these words for students as they joined as a cohort for the final time.
"It has been incredibly rewarding to watch you all grow into courageous trail blazers over the past six years," she said.
"Throughout your time here, you've learned to adapt to your surroundings. New teachers, new subjects, devastating floods, a global pandemic, mask wearing and even remote learning during challenging times. You proved that you are equipped to face the dangers and risks of the jungle and embraced these obstacles as an opportunity to learn and not fear failure. You built shelters of knowledge and support, forging lifelong friendships that will sustain you throughout your future.
"As you step out of the jungle today, you will carry these transformative experiences with you, that have prepared you for the adventures that await beyond your school journey."
