BYOD software specifications

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The following software list is the minimum recommended to be installed on your BYOD device for readiness for classes at Corinda SHS.​

• Company Portal / InTune / BYOx Link
  
• ​This is required by Department of Education to connect to school networks.
  
• Referred to by many names:
• Company Portal -  Microsoft program used to login to InTune.
  
• InTune - Microsoft device enrolment system.
  
• BYOx Link - DoE's name for BYO devices logging into InTune.
  
• DoE - Information and user guides for BYOx Link
• This can be done at home if the student has an active DoE school username and password.
  
• ​​School ICT staff can help with this if you want assistance.
  
  
• Microsoft Office ​​365
  

• Download and install on up to 5 devices (Free to download). Use your student ID and password to log in. 
  
• Use Office365 at Home (PDF, 794KB) if you require assistance.

• PDF Reader
• Windows and Macs have built in PDF Readers.
  
• Recommended to install Adobe Reader (Free to download)​.
  
  
• Anti-Virus Software (ensure it is updated)
  
• Windows can use the free built in "Defender"
• Macs can use the free built in "XProtect"
• Recommended to install an additional Anti-Virus software
• You can use a free or a paid Anti-Virus, but do not use a Trial of a paid Anti-Virus as these can become out-of-date when Trial ends.​​​​
