This week, something magic happened at Corinda. We had a bake sale, but it was so much more than that. Our Year 12 Health students decided to actively contribute to addressing an important societal issue by hosting a fundraiser for Brisbane Youth Service to support homeless and vulnerable youth.

With the support of our talented Hospitality Team, they prepared 500 giant cookies to sell under the banner of "Cookies for a Cause". They knew they'd hit their target market when lunch break began, and a long line of students immediately started snaking through the school. The students sold out in minutes, knowing they could have sold another 500 (or more) of the sweet treats.

They were buoyed to receive such outstanding support from the school community, and the exercise has helped to shape them into responsible and engaged citizens of tomorrow, filled with empathy, compassion, and social awareness.

We look forward to working more with Brisbane Youth Service in 2024! See the photos on Facebook here
