It was a great honour to be announced as a Queensland Department of Education showcased school at last Friday's awards dinner held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
We were fortunate to be one of nine schools celebrated for outstanding programs and initiatives that advance student educational achievement, wellbeing and engagement, and culture and inclusion.
Corinda was awarded the QUT (Queensland University of Technology) Ready for the Future (Years 10-12) Showcase Award, with our dedicated staff recognised for driving a focus on improved teaching practices, supporting the needs of diverse learners and delivering meaningful pathways for every student.
It was a very fitting way to wrap up World Teachers' Day, and to have so many staff members in attendance and being celebrated for this commendation was a rich reward.
Congratulations to all other schools acknowledged on the night - you were all very deserving recipients.
