A highlight of the English faculty's calendar, Write a Book in a Day, saw our Year 7 Excellence students spend the day in small groups writing and illustrating an entire book featuring Australian content. This exercise helps students unlock creativity, and encourages literacy, teamwork, and resilience.
Of the seven stories created by Corinda State High School
students, all included a number of quirky character and setting parameters, as well as random words including "swept," "dazzling," and "faded."
We thank all students for their enthusiastic participation in this worthwhile challenge and hope the resulting stories are enjoyed by children in hospitals right across Australia in the coming months. Well done all!
